Grace's Day Nursery
Ruxley Manor Garden Centre is turning a 17th century manor house into a children's day nursery, thought to be the first at a garden centre. The building, which has been empty since 2000, will become a facility that will offer 43 places to children aged between three months and five years.
The new facility will be called Grace's Day Nursery.
Having already built the extensive online shop for Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, Novamedia was asked to produce a simple, colourful and compelling design for the new day nursery.
The website's functionality, such as an embedded Google map and a database driven careers page, are integrated seamlessly within the final design.
Tech
Simplicity at its best
This website is in many respects an online brochure for Grace's Day Nursery. We therefore kept the design simple and clean, interspersing content with large images of children playing (handpicked by Grace's staff from an online image library).
The site design, employing only CSS layout techniques, is also created with accessibility in mind. The use of CSS allows the design to be separated from the content making the site much easier to read, quicker to load and more search engine friendly.
