We
have created several sites for RR Donnelley both in Europe and the
US amongst them being sites for their Capital Markets and Fund Communications
divisions.
We have also completed work on a brand new site giving information
to their US clients on fund compliance. This has been built to allow
them to maintain and use a database of registrants who can be emailed
on a regular basis with the latest updates in the fund compliance
area.
This is all handled automatically with minimal work required on
the part of RR Donnelley's staff to disseminate the information.
Each email sent out to the registrants also includes an unsubscribe
link that deletes them from the database thus ensuring that legal
requirements are met.
The Capital Markets site also allows user interaction in order
to update the news and deals parts of the site.
Content management
One of the neatest ways of keeping a web
site up to date is to use a content management system. These can
be as simple or as complex as you want. The system we use for the
RR Donnelley sites allows authorised users to log in from a browser
anywhere and update the information on the sites by just using web-based
forms.
It can also include other functionality such
as the facility to send emails to a database of contacts as we have
done with the RealFundCompliance site.
