This the third version of Ruxley Manor's website. We designed the original in 2006, updated it to include the online shop in 2008 and we've now redesigned it and worked with the customer to integrate a new online shop system, Nitrosell, which links into their EPOS system.
The decision was taken to keep the the garden centre part of the site separate from the online shop and this has now been built purely to focus on the centre itself.
The site has been built to give the customer as much control as possible over the content. They are able to produce and upload the graphics that appear on the home page as well as controlling other parts of the site such as:
- Garden advice
- Looking-good plants
- Jobs
- Events
This will be extended to cover other parts of the site in the near future.
Tech
Nitrosell eCommerce
We worked with Ruxley Manor to integrate the Nitrosell eCommerce solution for their online shop. At the time of writing, this is still being built..
The system allows them to link into their in-shop database of products giving them much better stock control than a separate online shop. This means that products will not be out of stock when ordered from their online shop.
We fully customised the look and feel of the Nitrosell shop to match the design we produced for the garden centre site.
Technology moves on all the time and we are often tasked with learning a new tool or set of tools when producing a website. Our clients use different technologies in-house to manage their businesses and processes and we have the flexibility and knowledge to adapt to this and learn new things as and when required.
