Skanska UK take their sustainability responsibilities seriously and as part of their drive not only in the UK but worldwide, they formulated a model that covers the environmental, social and economic issues that they need to address.
This model took the form of their sustainability wheel and we were asked to take the wheel and convert it into an interactive online resource that could be used by their staff and customers to demonstrate Skanska's sustainability credentials.
The wheel has been produced in Flash and has allowed us to put a lot of information into a small space with a total of 66 case study pages linked from within the 17 segments.
Tech
The right tool for the job
We will not use a technology for the sake of it, only if it is beneficial to the task in hand.
Flash was a natural choice for this project as we were presented with an existing model in the shape of the wheel and had to use this as the 'container' for a lot of information and links.
