Wyevale Nurseries
Established in 1930, Wyevale Nurseries is a family run wholesale supplier dedicated to the production of top quality plants and trees. Following on from our success with the Wyevale East website, we were asked to produce a similar site for Wyevale Nurseries.
A CMS system was built to allow the nursery to control various sections of the site including the news, portfolio and promotions. They also have the ability to upload stocklists to the site in both PDF and Excel format.
The promotions section of the site was very important. It needed to work in tandem with the promotions brochure that the nursery have traditionally produced each year. The nusery's garden centre customers can log in to the site to see the full detail of the promotions as well as a monthly calendar showing which promotions are available each month.

FTP access
We are quite used to building CMS systems for our clients so that they can control various parts of their site. Sometimes these systems allow the client to upload files such as images and documents. In the case of the Wyevale Nurseries site however, they needed to be able to upload 28 files on a weekly basis which would have become cumbersome via a web form.
Therefore we set up FTP access to a separate folder on the web server so they can simply transfer the files in bulk whenever they want to do so. We wrote some coding in the background that checks the contents of this folder and displays the links to the stocklists on the relevant page if the file is present in the folder.
