Online shops
Anything and everything can now be bought and sold via the web. Setting up an online shop is less costly than a bricks and mortar equivalent but there are still many things that need to be taken into consideration before taking the plunge.
As an example of an online shop, take a look at the site we built for Geo F Trumper the well-known and long-established gentlemen's barbers and perfumers in London's West End. This site was fully custom-built incorporating all of the features that Trumpers wanted to include. It has proved to be very successful.
Another good example is the online shop built for Shaw & Sons, a site that contains over 24,000 products with pictures and descriptions for most.

Geo F Trumper
We built an ecommerce-enabled website for Geo F Trumper, the famous gentlemen's perfumer and barbers in London's West End.
Elegantly designed, the ecommerce part of the site was fully custom built starting off very simply and with new facilities gradually being added over time such as the ability to add special offers and the sale of online gift vouchers.
The site also fully integrates into the Sage accounts program.
Shaw & Sons
This website is one of the largest online shops Novamedia has produced, selling over 24,000 products to both existing Shaw's account holders and to new customers.
The site was completely custom-built to the client's specification, integrated with SagePay, and gives Shaw's complete control over their huge range of products, discounts, offers and the categories these products are displayed within.
The administration module that controls all of these functions parses data from their existing product databases - contained within offline databases and text files - and merges them into one integrated database. This allows the staff at Shaw & Sons much more flexibility in managing the varied product range and how it is displayed on the website.
